Job Description

We are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer who will take an active role in our RD and Innovation team, combining strong hands-on development skills with technical leadership responsibilities for our AI engineering efforts.
This role is designed for engineers who do not merely build models, but who design, implement, and operate end-to-end, scalable AI systems in production. We value practical impact, engineering discipline, and a mindset focused on turning research into real-world products.
 

Role & Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Design, develop, and continuously improve LLM-based systems, with a strong focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
• Spend approximately 80% of the time hands-on coding and 20% on technical leadership and guidance.
• Actively contribute to the development of scalable, distributed, multi-user systems based on microservice architectures.
• Take ownership of software architecture and system design decisions, and guide their implementation across the team.
• Contribute to the design and operation of CI/CD, DataOps, and MLOps pipelines.
• Work closely with Product Managers, ensuring strong alignment between technical solutions and product goals.
• Operate effectively within Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban
• Follow academic and industry research, and translate relevant findings into practical, measurable outcomes.
• Provide technical mentorship, raise engineering standards, and support the growth of the AI engineering team.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, primarily backend-focused, with full-stack exposure.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience using Python and AI/ML libraries to build, deploy, and maintain production-grade systems (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face).
• Hands-on experience with RAG architectures and LLM-based systems.
• Solid background in classical Machine Learning, with an engineering-oriented approach.
• Proven ability to: Design, Architect, Implement complex, scalable, and sustainable distributed systems in production environments.
• Strong experience with microservice architectures and high-concurrency, multi-user systems.
• Ability to make sound architectural decisions, balancing short-term business needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Deep understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Practical experience with CI/CD, DataOps, and MLOps processes.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong English communication skills, sufficient for: Daily technical collaboration, Tecnical/Academic research and literature review.
• A continuous learner with a growth mindset and a passion for innovation.
• Comfortable using modern “AI Assisted” tools and contemporary development workflows.
• A mindset that prefers leading change and innovation, rather than resisting it. 

Nice to Have

• Experience working with healthcare or medical data.
• Familiarity with health-tech or regulated domains.

• Profiles that measure success only by producing PoCs that never reach production.
